Understanding GAPP

We explain the program and walk your family through every step toward the start of care.

Learn about GAPP

The Village Care Program

You already know your child best.

For many families, caring for a child with additional needs is already part of everyday life. Village Care makes that work payable, supported and recognized.

  • Training provided
  • Ongoing support
  • A familiar caregiver

Village Care may allow eligible families to

  • Continue caring for their child at home
  • Receive training and support
  • Get paid for providing approved care
  • Remain actively involved in their child’s care
  • Provide consistency through a familiar caregiver

Could GAPP be right for your child?

Four things decide it. We check the rest.

Most families reach us somewhere in the middle of a difficult stretch, not with a tidy list of requirements. That is normal, and it is not a problem.

Tell us what is happening at home. We will work out what your child may be eligible for and what the next step looks like.

4

Eligibility, in plain terms

Your child may be eligible for GAPP services if they:

  • Are under age 21
  • Are enrolled in or eligible for Georgia Medicaid
  • Need medically necessary skilled nursing, with personal care added when needed
  • Meet applicable GAPP eligibility and medical-necessity requirements
Not sure about any of these? That is the most common place to start. You do not need to determine eligibility yourself. That is what our team is for.

How it works

Getting care should not feel complicated.

You do not need to understand GAPP before calling us. That is what we are here for.

Tell us about your child

Start with a simple conversation. We learn about your child’s needs, the care you have now, and what your family is looking for.

We navigate GAPP

If your child may qualify, we explain the process, identify what is needed, and guide you through each step.

Build the care plan

As eligibility and services are determined, we work with your family and your child’s providers to prepare for care.

Care begins at home

Once everything is approved, care begins at home, surrounded by the people, routines and environment your child knows best.

Why ARZN

More than care. A partnership.

The difference is not the list of services. It is what it feels like to have someone alongside you.

Deeply human care

We see the child before the diagnosis, and the family behind every care plan.

Family-centered

You know your child in ways no one else can. Your voice belongs at the center of their care.

Guidance made simple

Healthcare can be complicated. Our communication does not have to be.

Care at home

Support that arrives where your child already feels safe.

Start here

You do not have to figure this out alone.

Tell us about your child and what your family needs. We will help you understand what is possible, whether that is nursing support, help with everyday care, or getting paid to care for your child yourself.
