What personal care can include

Depending on your child’s approved needs, support may include:

Why it matters

Dignity is part of the care plan.

Personal care touches the most private parts of a child’s day. How it is delivered matters as much as whether it is delivered.

Our caregivers are trained to support a child’s independence wherever it exists, to explain what they are doing, and to give families confidence that their child is treated with respect in their own home.

A note for parents

Personal care support and skilled nursing are different services with different approval paths.

Some children are approved for one, some for both. You do not need to work out which applies before contacting us.

Start here

You do not have to figure this out alone.

Tell us about your child and what your family needs. We will help you understand what is possible, whether that is nursing support, help with everyday care, or getting paid to care for your child yourself.
